Dutas Information
Dutas is an Indian made (Dr. Reddy's) generic of GlaxoSmithKline Avodart.
You can find also other indian brands for Avodart lke: Duprost and Dutagen.
Dutasteride is in a class of medications called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
Dutasteride (Generic Avodart - Dutas) is used to treat an enlarged prostate (BPH).
Dutasteride is similar to Finasteride (the active ingredient in Propecia and Proscar)
with the way that it inhibits DHT.
It blocks the production of a
natural substance that enlarges the prostate. This shrinks the enlarged prostate over time and brings relief
from the symptoms commonly associated with BPH. Dutasteride (Generic Avodart - Dutas) has also been
shown to have beneficial effects on hairloss.
Dutas Intake Guidelines
Take once a day with or without food. Do not take
more or less than prescribed by your doctor. Take each dose with a full glass of water
and swallow the capsules whole.
